I’m pretty excited about my recent birthday present (reimbursement from Mom and Dad, anyway!) After Patrick told me about a website he found, Nick, Lauren, and I went in together on an order of 10 sports jerseys from China in order to get free shipping. At just $21 each, these are as close to the real thing as it gets without actually being the real thing, and the real things would cost over $300 each! These aren’t the fake replicas either; they’re made of very heavy material and have the numbers and lettering stitched on. Probably the jersey equivalent of a fake Rolex or designer sunglasses you can buy off the street in New York.
I’m not very interested in wearing a modern sports jersey with a current player, but I’m all about the throwbacks with the legendary names. So aside from a Visanthe Shiancoe Vikings jersey to wear to a game this year, I loaded up on the retro unis. Behold!

That’s a 1984 Kirby Puckett Twins away jersey, a 1975 Fran Tarkenton Vikings home jersey, and a 1984 Dan Fouts Chargers home jersey. Puckett has been deceased for four years, Tarkenton’s heyday was well before my time, and Fouts was ending his career when I was an infant, but their legacies shall live on in my wardrobe.
Lauren got a 1984 Kent Hrbek Twins jersey like my Puckett one, and a current purple Jared Allen Vikings jersey. Nick got a nice 1965 Harmon Killebrew Twins home jersey, 50th anniversary Adrian Peterson and Sidney Rice Vikings jerseys, and the same Tarkenton one as me.
Also, if you missed it yesterday, Mom is counting on your vote in this contest!
I like these jerseys, especially the Twins one. And yes, VOTE!!! I am hopelessly way behind in the voting count!
I ordered a Nolan Ryan jersey a couple weeks ago off the same site and got a McFadden jersey as a gift for being an usher from a similiar site in June. Waiting for a Jets Mangold jersey to pop up on there.
