Today I went down to the local art supply store and bought a new canvas, some new paints, and a brush, and created some crazy new artwork for our living room.
This painting is copied somewhat closely from the 19th century print by Hiroshige, called “Navaro Rapids.” His wasn’t a painting, but I figured I could paint it.
Here’s my version.

And, here’s the original.

Not exact, but pretty decent I think! My attention span for doing a painting like this is a few hours tops, so I had to work fast.
Looks pretty nice. I think you should’ve gone with some fatter lines. Where are you going to hang it up?
The actual artwork didn’t show up here, but we found it on art.com. You did amazingly well…I thought it looked a bit cartoonish, but when I saw the original it looks just the same. Try your hand (or brush) at some abstract modern art…you could sell it and be rich.
