I bet you all wonder what I’ve been doing at work lately.  Well let me tell you—some pretty wild stuff!  Like yesterday, I spent almost all day creating the Spanish version of our company website… not that I know Spanish, but after translating lots of text on Google Translator I think I’m picking up on some technological terms anyway.  For instance, “duplicators” is “duplicadoras”.  And “printer” is “impresora” or something like that.  Aside from the Spanish thing, we’ve been gearing up for our next trade show, NAB.  I asked to be excluded from the staff this time since it’s the second week of the baseball season, and first week at Target Field, and if I were nervously pacing around the Las Vegas Convention Center with no access to these games, I’d be a very useless employee.  Here’s a picture of what it looked like outside our office yesterday.  Looks pretty much the same today.

Better than snow anyway.

House on Hold
In other news, we’ve been trying to go see more houses but it never quite works out. First our realtor got engaged, then Lauren got sick, now the realtor is sick.  It’s been over a week since we’ve seen any houses and we’re extremely anxious to get back out there!  Hopefully this weekend we can make it through a bunch.

The DSU gang went to the gym the other night for some basketball and we wound up playing full-court 5-on-5 with other random guys at the gym. These games were fiercely intense.  Being the tallest one there by quite a ways, a smaller guy had to guard me, and he was fouling me the whole night. Every time I touched the ball he went into attack mode.  It wasn’t even defense, it was just him grabbing and swinging and doing anything he could.  I called him for fouls a couple times, but he never let up.  Finally in the last game, I got the ball under the basket and he grabbed my throat with one hand and tried to pry the ball out with the other, and I had had enough.  I don’t really remember what I yelled at him but I gave him a shove and slammed the ball down. Let that be a lesson to all of you out there who like to take the old “hack-a-Shaq” approach to the big man on the court!

Cuckoo’s Nest
Lauren and I had the chance to continue our Best Picture project last night with 1975’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.  I reviewed the movie over on my Best Picture Review blog, for anyone interested.
