The company president walked by the Marketing office this morning and saw the three Marketing guys laughing. He stopped and stuck his head in the door. “Get to work. You always know happy people aren’t working.” We quit laughing and got back to work.
I learned today that the most runs ever scored in an inning in a MLB game by one team is 18, done in 1883 by Chicago vs. Detroit. Not surprisingly, that’s also the record for most runs in an inning by two teams combined. The most runs ever scored in the first inning was done fairly recently, when Boston put a 14 spot up in the first vs. Florida in 2003. Imagine being down 14 runs heading to the second. What can you possibly be thinking?
I also just learned it is in fact another pizza day for our free lunch at work. I am undecided if I will break down and eat some or go eat elsewhere over break. The bonus for everyone else at work is there will actually be enough food for people to get seconds, now that I’m out of the mix.
