If you visited the blog from ryanglanzer.com today, you’ll notice the site looks quite different! Last night, I figured it was time to revamp for a couple reasons. First of all, my latest overhaul of the site didn’t go over very well. I liked it at first, but as time went on, I grew to despise it. I liked the idea that there was always a poll and a random YouTube video on the front page, but I didn’t update it nearly enough. Secondly, like it or not, a ton of people see this website, so I should be using it to my advantage and have people look at good things. So I made the site into a portfolio. This entire process, from conception to completion, took under one hour, which in itself is somewhat of a portfolio piece!
Website Totally Revamped
Also today, I officially set a cutoff date for DJing wedding dances. I’ll keep on going as scheduled through the first two weeks of October, and then I’m out to explore a different weekend job opportunity / career move, which I’m sure I’ll be talking about more in the coming months. But for now, it’s off to Maple Plain tomorrow and back to Wabasha next Saturday, home of the world’s greatest wedding tips!
Tonight, no plans have been made yet, but options include the attending the Twins game, where the team makes its triumphant return to the Metrodome after fifteen painstaking days on the road, where losses were agonizingly heartbreaking night after night. Things got so bad, I was almost relieved to see them get blown out in Toronto last night so I didn’t have to endure another Joe Nathan meltdown. All that negativity, and the team is still just 1.5 games out of a playoff spot. Some might look at the White Sox as being in worse shape—they only managed to pick up a half-game on the Twins while they went on their longest and most difficult road trip in 39 years.
Note: In a staggering statistic just observed, 176 people read the 8/20 column entitled “Directly Effecting Outcomes.” When you considser that on average, each column is read about 30 times, that’s an astounding number, and I really can’t figure out why it happened!
So… I haven’t been on your blog for some time. I like the new look of the site a lot. However, the reason I even thought to come back here is I apparently seem to have found Lauren on a knitting/crochet website! Awesome.
