Another weekend has come and gone.  I certainly could have kept right on sleeping this morning.  But, in mere minutes, it’s back to the office for five more fun-filled days of work.  I suppose I shouldn’t be complaining too much, what with the 8.1% of people out there searching for jobs.

The weekend was long and relatively relaxing.  It began Friday night with Lauren and I meeting up with the Berglund-Husebys and Cutters for Thai food in St. Paul.  We all went back to the Huseby house where everyone sat around chatting about pets for a couple hours.  I got tired really early and we left around 11.

Saturday morning I woke up bright and early like any other workday.  I drove up to Buffalo, where I met withmy company president and a roofing company and talked about building them a website.  From there I drove up to Annandale to meet with a 50’s event center and talked about making them a site.  Seemed like everything went well, now they’re just waiting for me to give them an estimate.  I’ve never done any real side projects like this except for Travis & Jonny, David Glanzer Casting, and Dick’s Garage, so I’m not sure a ballpark figure to quote them.  Any suggestions?

After returning home at noon, I picked up Lauren and we went to the Metrodome to buy Twins tickets as soon as they went on sale.  We got tickets for the home opener and final Metrodome game ever, barring playoffs.  Also, if you want some good cheap tickets, they have a great promo going right now where you can get Monday Home Run Porch tickets for the price the Dow closed at the previous Friday.  Right now that’s $6 for any Monday game.  We got a random Toronto game.  That will save you at least $15 a ticket.

The rest of Saturday was very low-key.  Lauren and I ran some errands, including a trip to Ikea for Mom where we tried, and failed, to find some fabric she’d been pining for.  We came home and watched two Best Picture movies, as you likely saw, before calling it a night.

Sunday we slept till noon after being awake till 3:30 the night before.  I went and worked out at the YWCA, and returned home to Lauren making pancakes for a late breakfast.  And then I sat there mindlessly the rest of the day watching more DVDs because I can’t afford to do anything else and we don’t have cable yet.

We are still waiting for our first visitors to the apartment since the night we moved!  Stop by this week and say hi if you’re in Uptown!
